now it was time to put together all the work into the sketchbook.

week 2(research on themes and categories, experimentation)

week 2

week 2 was when we had to start picking our concepts and themes.

once we had done so, we did a brief research on them and later made a few designs and experimented with different fabrics.

YEAR 2....week 1 OPTIONS PORTFOLIO [CORSETRY] (basic corsets, types of boning and corset history)

WEEK 1

A new year, a new module and lots of new things to learn.

our first module in L5 was the options portfolio. we had to select any 3 from amongst the 12 options.

The 3 options selected by me were-

1. Corsetry

2. Design for events

3. Costume and script interpretation

In the first week we learnt the basics of corset making.

we constructed a basic 4 panel princess seam corset and a basic 4 panel bra top corset.

we also learnt the different types of boning i.e

• double boning
• single boning with top stitch
• single boning with no top stitch 

once we knew the basics of how a corset would be constructed we did a little research on the history of corsets

week 9(assessment)

WEEK 9

We had finally completed our 1st year.It was now time for our work to be evaluated. We had to put together all our work from the very beginning of the year.

week 8(photo shoot)

WEEK 8

The photo shoot was done indoors in the classroom. The theme being positive and negative, the look was also similar. One being a positive look, "The good boy image" and the other was the negative look, "The angry young man".

week 8(portfolio)

WEEK 8

The process had started a few weeks back but now we were ready with our portfolio. The portfolio consisted of works from module 1, 2 and 3 wherein we had to redo,reconstruct and reprint our work in a portfolio manner like-
 concept boards, client boards, print boards,line ups and photo shoot.
