week 8(portfolio)

WEEK 8

The process had started a few weeks back but now we were ready with our portfolio. The portfolio consisted of works from module 1, 2 and 3 wherein we had to redo,reconstruct and reprint our work in a portfolio manner like-
 concept boards, client boards, print boards,line ups and photo shoot.

week 7 (pattern making)

WEEK 7-

The final design was selected and it was now time to start with the construction of our garment. First we had to to make the basic blocks of trouser, shirt and jacket, and then do the adaptations of our designs.

week 8-9 (garment construction)

WEEK 8-

After our patterns were ready we started with the construction of the garment. First I began with the construction of the shirt

(dd 24) which was casual fit, it had a short point collar, a concealed placket, a tab cuff and button details. The shirt was in white linen cotton blend fabric. After completing the shirt it was time to stitch the trouser(dd 19)which was straight fit,it had detailing like an outward fold on the hem with engineered Burberry check print, a black metallic pocket facing and a single bone welt pocket with a metallic epaulette on the back. The trouser was in a black peach finished chino fabric. Finally, it was time for the jacket. The jacket (dd 19) was a loose fit, with an engineered Burberry print, rib at the hem and cuff, a black metal zipper and side seam pockets. The jacket was in a combination of black and white twill and white rib.
